Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Today it’s all about Top Ten Books I’d Like to See Made into Movies.
1. Silent Blade by Ilona Andrews
Tagline-“She will finally repay a decade’s worth of pain—in a single, brutal dose of reality..” Lol.
I love this novella! Okay, you have a genetically enhanced heroine who is about to retire from being her family’s assassin. She comes out of retirement to kill the man who broke her heart. I’ve got to see it on screen peeps! Celino your heart will be CRUSHED on screen! And I will laugh jerk.
2. Of Swine and Roses by Ilona Andrews
Tagline- “the ice-cream is absent, the pig is running for its life, and we won’t even mention the dead guy…”
Another Ilona Andrews short story, perhaps this could be like an ABC Family movie or maybe just the premiss of a music video. It’s super cute. Cute girl forced to go out with a thug ends up chasing a pig…and Poof! Surprise!
3.One for the Money by Janet Evanovich
I’m actually right in the middle of this book, but boy is it fun! I could see it as a movie.
4. Jesus Hates Zombies by Stephen Lindsay and Steve Cobb
Okay, graphic novel, but I think it would be cool seeing Jesus come back to earth to kill zombies with his sidekick Laz. Oh and Abraham Lincoln is in it too.
5. Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev
The Theatre Illuminata books just lends itself to the stage, so why not?
6. Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith
Love movies with castles and princesses peeps. And Mel is a feisty princess who must overthrow a corrupt king along with her brother. What’s not to love?
7. Morganville Vampire Series by Rachel Caine
Small creepy vampire town in Texas? Sold!
8. Oh. My. Gods
Female Percy Jackson book…sort of. I see it more as a Disney channel movie.
9. Wicked Game (WVMP Radio Series) by Jeri Smith Ready
This as a film would be way neat and it lends itself to have a great soundtrack.
10. Mind Games by Carolyn Crane
I think it would be weird to see flying bricks and stuff, but it would be neat seeing all the disillusionists with their different hangups. You know, hypochondriac heroine who doesn’t want to end up in a straightjacket so she kind of uses it as superpowers. It’s definitely intriguing.
Had a hard time casting people but doesn’t Lindsy Fonseca look like Mel on the cover of Crown Duel?
